Opportunity Details
The Institute for Human Services (IHS) is Hawaii's most comprehensive human services agency dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness. For over 45 years, we've been at the forefront of creating tailored solutions for those in crisis, offering a continuum of care that includes emergency shelters, housing programs, health services, employment assistance, and outreach.
In these roles, you will play a key part in assisting in a client’s health recovery by providing specialized care and medical attention at our shelters. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, able to interact without judgment, willing to learn and make a difference in the lives of Hawaii’s homeless population.
- Communicate and assist available resources to IHS guests and offer the gift of hope.
- Ensure the sites are free of hazards; uphold policies, and provide supportive assistance for all guests while treating them with respect and dignity.
- Document daily, supervise in-house and community volunteers and provide support to the clinical programs when needed.
Hours include evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours and days may vary based on the needs of the organization. Casual part time hours are available including just working weekends and/or holidays. Students with school schedules may work reduced hours within our normal work shifts of:
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and/or
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM and/or
10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
